We REALLY need these tips in Chicago (Cook County) where taxes rose to 10.25% and 11% downtown. The children and I have gone to Michigan 3 times this summer but it is right down 94 for us and we live in the city and there is a murder epidemic going on in Chicago for teens. I so appreciate my Ann Arbor roots at times like these. I take a hike up the road and breathe - then bring the kids back in time for summer camp, museums and we are going to use your hotel suggestion. I will let you know our success rate at finding a hotel with a small waterpark that will let kids stay free. Have a happy summer. Shawn thanks so much.
